“Boston City Councilors petition for more liquor licenses in Dorchester, Mattapan, Roxbury, and Hyde Park”

“Members of Boston's City Council are proposing to use new liquor licenses as a tool for addressing the city's racial wealth gap. 

They are proposing a home rule petition that would give the city up to 200 new all-alcohol liquor licenses over a three-year period. The plan requires approval from Beacon Hill.”
